Nigerian Dwarfs are a miniature dairy
goat breed of West African
ancestory. They make ideal milk goats for most families. Nigerians give a surprising quantity of milk for their size. Since they breed year-round, births can be staggered in a small herd so that the entire herd is never dry. Their milk has a higher butterfat content than milk from larger dairy goats. This makes Nigerian Dwarf goat milk excellent for cheese and soap making. Nigerian Dwarfs are GREAT for milking, show, 4H, small farms or they simply make great pets! Yes! Does and wethers make excellent PETS! My goats LOVE affection, enjoy being petted, and come when called, just like a dog! (photo): My daughter with our FIRST Nigerian Dwarf in 1996!!
